Studio Art & New Frontiers Brochure Cover Collaboration: 2nd Meeting

Today was our second meeting with the art students and we were joined by the people who generously invested in the course, purchasing the tablets that are the basis for the whole project.

The students had 1 week to begin sketching images based on our conversations last week and we were quite impressed with what we saw today! The students had all grasped the concepts we described and already begun creating some neat images. In all cases we were quickly able to tell what ideas they were trying to communicate, one of the major goals of the cover design. WE didn't hear from many of the students over the week, but one did reach out to Dr. Caldorera-Moore and was able to visit both of our labs to get some hands-on experience with hydrogels and a personal look at some human mesenchymal stem cells.

We don't want to share images so that everyone can be surprised at the opening of the art exhibit, but we think the students are off to a great start and will catch up with them again in 2 weeks when Dr. Guice comes to visit.
